Greenbiz.com, the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) and Global Executive have put their heads together to start e new conference "Green by Design" which will take place in June 2008.
The goal of this new conference is fill an open space of informing firms and people how they can act ‘green’. On the conference you can find for instance deep insights and best practices on building sustainability into the product development process. There will also be a lot of persons who know a lot the business like directors of product development and design, executives responsible for business strategy and marketing as well as students and educators from high qualified design schools.
With this conference they want to pick up where others leave off and try to help participants to go forward.’Green by design’ is a great opportunity to bring people concerned with this topic together and let them discuss the existing methods, the new possibilities and challenges.

The first day of the conference, executives from important companies such as GE, Xerox and DuPont will give a speech and try to give their vision on ‘the importance of sustainability for innovation and the future growth of their companies’.
The second day there will be a track session with commentary by chain, strategy and marketing managers about the "nuts and bolts" of innovation and sustainability.

I think this is a very good initiative because there are a lot of people who want to act green but don't know how. true this organisation they will learn how they can achieve their goals.
I think this conference was necessarily. A lot of people want to act ‘green’ but doesn’t know how to do it.
The idea to bring people together and to discuss about the existing methods is wonderful. People can exchange methods, new possibilities and challenges. I hope this new conference “Green by Design” will be a success.
I agree with Oliver. It is true that most people that want to live and act 'green', don't know where to start or how to do it. We also have to learn our children to take care of our environment and our fantastic world, so the initiative came right in time. Maybe this conference is a final call of 'the screaming world'.
